ob-jects Has In Place COVID-19 Safety Protocols

COVID-19 Safety Protocol

We have made several updates to our operational protocol to ensure the safety of our staff and clients. The wearing of masks and the maintaining of social distance will be required. We will have plenty of masks, disposable gloves and hand sanitizer available when you do visit us. Please see below for the full protocol:

Staff Level Expectations

Temperature Screening
At the beginning of the workday and periodically throughout the day, staff member's temperature will be taken with a touchless thermometer for signs of fever. Anyone with above average temperature, possible exposure to COVID-19, or any other symptoms of illness should be sent home immediately. We have extended paid sick leave benefits to encourage Team Members to stay home if feeling unwell.

Masks & Gloves
Staff will wear facemasks and surgical gloves at all times.

Wash Hands
Staff will wash their hands with soap and water and/or sanitizer frequently.

Social Distancing
Staff will maintain a minimum of six feet apart when working together.

Common Property
Staff will avoid using common property like tools, office supplies, phones, etc. When unavoidable, items should be disinfected between use.

Restrooms & Kitchens
Staff will have their designated restroom that will be stocked with adequate soap and sanitation wipes. Signage will encourage staff to wash their hands and wipe down common surfaces (sink handles, soap pumps, toilet seats, flush levers, door handles) before and after use with the sanitation wipes. Staff will bring their own eating supplies or use disposal/recyclable/biodegradable supplies.

Hand Sanitizer
Hand sanitizer with more than 60% alcohol will be present and clearly visible throughout the facility, including all entry and exit points, and common areas like customer service desks, bathrooms, and docks. Signage will encourage staff and customers to sanitize their hands often.

Doors
Entry doors will remain open during business hours.

Trash Bins
Gloves and masks should be discarded in designated trash bins.

Contact Tracing
Staff will maintain a log of Decorators Entry & Exit to assist authorities with managing the spread.

Decorators/Client Expectations

Appointments
Clients are encouraged to schedule appointments before arriving to facilitate a smooth and safe experience at Objects. Walk ins are also welcome.

Signage
Clients will be reminded to maintain social distance, the wearing of masks and gloves with posted signs throughout the facility.

Masks & Gloves
Clients are asked to bring and wear their own masks and gloves. We are happy to provide them with free masks and gloves if the customer should need them.

Social Distancing
Staff will remind clients to maintain six feet of separation from staff and other clients.

Sanitize Hands
Staff will remind clients to sanitize hands upon entry into the facility and while shopping.

Deckers
All deckers will be sanitized by staff before and after client use.

Lobby/Work Area
The lobby has been reworked and will only accommodate 2 Decorators working from the worktable, at opposite ends (12 feet apart). This workspace will be sanitized before and after each person uses it.

Restrooms
Clients will have their designated restroom that will be stocked with adequate soap and sanitation wipes. Signage will encourage clients to wash their hands and wipe down common surfaces (sink handles, soap pumps, toilet seats, flush levers, door handles) before and after use with the sanitation wipes.

Shopping
We ask that clients shop without a sales Team Member as best as possible and instead communicate their holds requests via EMAIL with photographs. They can also send in their orders via our Website with their Project Organizer Tool. Our staff will be happy to assist them in tagging their order from a safe social distance, if time or other logistics are a factor.

Shipping/Receiving Expectations

Docks
Crews will be asked to pickup and unload outside under tents on the ramp adjacent to the Shipping/Receiving Doors. Objects staff will be available for direction.

E-Paperwork
Pick up paperwork will be sent for signature to Art Department Coordinators, Leadmen or the Clients directly prior to pick up through DocuSign.

Crews
If the order requires a team lift to load into their vehicle, please send the right amount of people to load the product. Please also bring your own furniture blankets, straps, ropes, dollies or another other items necessary for loading. Crews will be encouraged to avoid entering the warehouse unless they need to use the restroom or fill their water bottles at our touchless water purifying dispenser. If crews need to use the restrooms, they will be asked to follow the directional tape that will take them directly to the restrooms, wearing masks the entire time. We ask that they do not wander throughout the facility.

Quarantine and/or Sanitize
While recent CDC guidelines suggest that the transmission of the virus is low on surfaces, Objects staff will sanitize (to the best of their ability) items that will not be damaged by the process. Orders will be packed and isolated immediately upon confirmation to allow virus to "die off" with time.
