The Los Angeles Video Project is a community outreach multimedia program that celebrates and enlists LA's remarkable pool of filmmakers. By engaging these creative members of the Los Angeles community to act and serve as Ambassadors of LA, NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA), the City of Los Angeles and LA Weekly are able to share what these artists call their LA; an insider perspective into this diverse, cosmopolitan city and its neighborhoods.

Born in San Antonio, Texas, Howey spent several years of his early childhood living on boats with his parents. They eventually settled in a Los Angeles suburb where he attended junior high and most of high school. After moving to Denver to complete his senior year, he earned a basketball scholarship to a junior college in Colorado. He began to lose interest in basketball in his second year and turned, instead, to drama, joining his father's (acting coach Bill Howey) acting class. He has guest-starred on ER, "The Drew Carey Show, and New Girl. "Reba" became his first series starring role in 2001, and he stayed with the show until it's end in 2007. Steve is currently one of the stars of Showtime's Shameless.

Special Guest William H. Macy
William Hall Macy, Jr. is an actor, screenwriter, teacher and director in theater, film and television. Macy was nominated for an Academy Award for his role as Jerry Lundegaard in Fargo. He has won two Emmy Awards and a Screen Actors Guild Award, and has been nominated for nine Emmy Awards and seven Screen Actors Guild Awards in total. He is also a three-time Golden Globe Award nominee. Since 2010 he has played the main protagonist in the Showtime television series Shameless. Macy and actress Felicity Huffman have been married since 1997.
