Feature Comedy Director John Hamburg Joins Saville for Spot Representation
Saville is excited to announce the signing of comedic filmmaker and screenwriter John Hamburg for exclusive commercial representation in the United States. Dubbed the "poet laureate of comic anxiety" by the Los Angeles Times, Hamburg is the director of hugely successful comedy films including "I Love You, Man" starring Paul Rudd and Jason Segel, and "Along Came Polly," the romantic comedy starring Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston.

After directing his first film, the cult hit "Safe Men," John achieved major success as a screenwriter with his work on "Meet the Parents" and "Zoolander." Hamburg's latest directorial exploits include shooting the new Fox television series New Girl, a comedy starring Zooey Deschanel, which was named one of the eight "most exciting new series" of 2011 by the Critics' Choice Television Awards.

"We've been huge fans of John's for a long time," says EP Rupert Maconick,"and are thrilled to have his distinct storytelling talents of humor, humanity and a great sense of visual style. He is a great addition to our company."

In addition to developing various new projects for film and television, John is currently preparing to direct Brother From Another Mother, a comedy which he wrote and will produce later this year.

At Saville, John will join a high-profile roster of feature film directors including: Martin Campbell, Paul Haggis, Barry Levinson, James McTeigue, Bryan Singer, Wim Wenders, Roger Michell and high-end commercials directors including Lance Kelleher, David Harner, Daniel Borjesson, Ago Panini and Robert Nylund.

Saville Productions is represented on the East Coast by Michael Eha, in the Mid-West by Nikki Weiss and on the West Coast by Connie Mellors and Ellen Dempsey-Hines.
