Celebrating 29 Years... More Than Just a Box!

By: Ben Kitay | April 17, 2013

Celebrating 29 Years... More Than Just a Box!
Since 1984 Ben Kitay Studios is the premier destination for film, TV and Video Production. With four full service stages, we anticipate our clients needs and provide support, from lighting and grip to production supplies and expendables.

Ben Kitay Studios NEW Backlot will connect Stage's 5, 10, & 20 campuses, creating additional privacy, outdoor film space and more parking. You may also look forward to food trucks, live music and other events in the spring and summer months. Not only will this enhance the capabilities of each stage, but also it's a great venue space. Make a mental note! Ben Kitay Studios is the destination for an event, party or celebration. Read below about the details of our latest soirée.

We will be replacing the asphalt and taking down the metal fencing to create a backlot. We are also very excited about exposing the original 1930's brick running the length of the alley. This gives us one of the only private brick walls in Hollywood, where permits are not needed for filming.

A special thank you to the Los Angeles City Council... especially Eric Garcetti, Tom La Bonge and Marcell Porras. They were all instrumental in helping Ben Kitay Studios privatize the alley way. The alley has been an eyesore for years.

President Bill Clinton, Richie Sambora, Vanessa and Kobe Bryant at Ben Kitay Studios in January.

It was a great start to the New Year, as Ben Kitay Studios had the honor of hosting the Clinton Global Initiative in collaboration with the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation to benefit housing homeless men and women who are living on the streets of Hollywood. Over 200 of Hollywood's "who's-who" gathered to meet and listen to former President Clinton discuss how local business owners, like Ben Kitay Studios in collaboration with non-profit housing developers can improve the lives of homeless men, women and children on the streets through permanent housing.

Steeped in the rich history of our "silent" forefathers, Ben Kitay Studios shares and honors the history of Hollywood. On the same hallowed ground that Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin made magic, sits Ben Kitay Studios- a place where magic continues everyday. From Oscar winning actors- Tom Hanks, Marlon Brando, Sean Penn, Cher and Anne Hathaway to name a few-- to Presidents (Clinton) and Governors (Schwarzenegger) and superstar athletes of present (Kobe, Dwight Howard, Lebron, Reggie Bush) and a parade of others too numerous to list. Our facilities offer multiple star lounges, multi-media equipped dressing rooms and gourmet kitchens, Superstars to rising stars, we offer the same amenities and hospitality to all.
