Prod. Designer Henry Bumstead Recognized in New Book About Clint Eastwood
Legendary Production Designer and Academy Award® winner Henry "Bummy" Bumstead, who designed a dozen Clint Eastwood movies, is lauded in a new coffee table book written by Michael Goldman on the director/star, titled Clint Eastwood: Master Filmmaker at Work.

In a chapter devoted to the work of Bumstead the author writes that Bumstead's distinctive way of working and color palette is being continued by his successor James Murakami. The book is published by Abrams of New York.

Bumstead worked on 11 consecutive Eastwood movies - from Unforgiven to Letters from Iwo Jima, until his death in 2006 at the age of 92. Earlier he was Production Designer on Eastwood's 1973 High Plains Drifter. He won his two Oscars® for The Sting and To Kill a Mockingbird. He received Oscar® nominations for Hitchcock's Vertigo and Eastwood's Unforgiven. The Art Directors Guild honored "Bummy" with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001.
