THE FLOWER FIELDS AT CARLSBAD RANCH® OFFER BREATHTAKING BACKDROPS AND CREATIVE INSPIRATION

By: Cambria McConnell | December 13, 2011

CARLSBAD, Ca. (December 14, 2011) - The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch®, one of Southern California's most spectacular displays of color, offers its rolling hills of flowers as inspiration to filmmakers, photographers and artists. Offering extraordinary color and breathtaking ocean views, The Flower Fields are the perfect setting for motion pictures, television shows and photography.
As one of nature's official ways of announcing the arrival of spring, The Flower Fields are only in bloom six to eight weeks each year - this year from March 1 to May 13, 2012. During this time, creative minds can find inspiration from the Artist Gardens, Cymbidium Orchid Greenhouse and over 50 acres of ranunculus blooms. The tractor rides and mining activity add a rustic theme to any creative project. Plus, the annual burst of color has become part of the area's local heritage, making it ideal for local photo and video shoots.
"We are happy that artists and creative minds can use the fields for inspiration and in their projects," says General Manager of The Flower Fields, Fred Clarke. "For years, the beauty of the fields has inspired visitors in extraordinary ways. We would love to continue to see it used for even more creative purposes."
