THE ACCLAIMED BEVERLY GARLAND IN NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA DEBUTS ITS NEWLY REDESIGNED RESTAURANT AND GARLAND BALLROOM

By: Kelly Fogarty | November 30, 2011

Bert Seneca, General Manager of The Beverly Garland in North Hollywood, is pleased to announce the debut of the newly redesigned Garland Ballroom (formerly the Grand Ballroom) and on-site dining establishment, Tula's Restaurant. This milestone is yet another step in the ongoing evolution of the property-with more to come including the expansion of Splash, the poolside bar and new enhancements at Decoy Lounge.

Set in a serene Spanish-influenced mission-style hotel amidst all the glamour and excitement of Hollywood, The Beverly Garland features over 12,000 square feet of event space, including the "new" Garland Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 650 guests. The new space is designed with rich chocolate patterned luxury carpet and cream-colored walls, which omit a pearl finish, highlighted by radiance parchment wallpaper ensconced in frames of crown molding. From this rich color palette to the winter gold finish on the wall sconces, to the 20 bronze mirrors adorning the walls, to the 16 elegant chandeliers with silk lampshades, the Garland Ballroom evokes the feeling of Old Hollywood glamour, providing a gorgeous setting for any occasion.

The new main entrance has been accented with a striking orange curtain and connects the ballroom to the Courtyard, which provides an additional 2,500 square feet of beautifully landscaped outdoor space, perfect for cocktail receptions or breakout sessions. The hotel has long been a popular venue for meetings and events and with the recent redesign and upgrades to the ballroom and property's nine distinctive meeting rooms, it has claimed it's position as the favorite venue for executive meetings, conferences, banquets, special events and weddings.

Tula's, the hotel's on-site restaurant has also debuted its stylish and contemporary new look and innovative new menus, which offer an array of delicious local California cuisine fused with a Mediterranean flair. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and known for its friendly and attentive service, Tula's is perfect spot for a fun night out with the girls, a date with the family or a business lunch or dinner.

Executive Chef Daniel Csotai took a lighter approach to his new menus-offering a variety of grilled items and using sustainable proteins, organic produce and whole grain pastas and breads and olive oil in preparation. To complement Csotai's new menu, Tula's has also rolled out a wine list featuring more than 60 distinct wines, hand-selected mostly from regions in California, and some from Oregon, France, Italy, Argentina, New Zealand, and South Africa. The list also includes Beverly's Private Collection, which is comprised of some of the world's most notable producers.

Tula's contemporary new look includes a 12-foot high arched entryway, which leads guests directly into the restaurant and Decoy Lounge. Frosted glass windows, solid oak tabletops and cozy leather booths evoke the feeling of Old Hollywood glamour for which The Beverly Garland is known. Tula's also offers al fresco dining on the expansive outdoor patio, which overlooks the lush landscaping and beautiful fountain at the front entrance. In addition to the main dining room, Tula's also offers a gorgeous private dining room that seats up to fourteen guests. With beautiful cream leather high-backed chairs, elegant lighting, and a lengthy solid oak table, the private dining room is a stylish, secluded and sophisticated space for a private affair.
