AbelCine has just announced the 2013 AbelCine Documentary Grant to support the next generation of documentary filmmakers. Three equipment usage grants, worth a combined total of $100,000, will be awarded to the successful candidates.

To enter, shoot a 2-5 minute long video pitch and upload it to Vimeo. Once all the submissions are in, 10 finalists will be determined based on Likes from the Vimeo Community. A panel of judges will then review the finalists' pitches and determine the three grant recipients. Along with experts from AbelCine and Canon, three very special guest judges, filmmakers Ellen Kuras, ASC, Peter Schnall, and Mark Benjamin will be on the panel.

The three winners will each receive an equipment grant worth about $33,000 to be used toward the Canon C300 package and lenses of their choice in order to finish their project.
