NATPE Announces
BUYER REGISTRATION AND EXHIBITING COMPANIES FOR NATPE'S 50th ANNIVERSARY MARKET AND CONFERENCE PACING AHEAD OF PREVIOUS YEARS IN MIAMI. Larry King, Glen Mazzara, Mitch Hurwitz, Ben Silverman and Many Others Join an Expanding List of High-Caliber Speakers from TV, Technology and Advertising Industries. Special 50th Anniversary Celebration Events Planned for Every Evening to Stimulate Additional Networking and Business Opportunities.

NATPE-Content First President and CEO Rod Perth today announced buyer registration numbers and exhibiting companies for NATPE's 50th Anniversary market and conference in January are pacing ahead of recent years. The conference, which takes place January 28-30 at the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach, is focused on the theme of "Beyond Disruption," with leaders from the television, technology and advertising industries all converging in one place to celebrate NATPE's history while together examining the future of the industry. Additionally, NATPE has planned numerous special networking events and parties in celebration of its 50th Anniversary.

"The single most important ingredient for a vibrant market - and for deals to get done - is the number of qualified buyers that attend," said Mr. Perth. "I am very pleased to announce that registration for both international and domestic buyers is pacing about 31 percent ahead of where we were this time last year, which was itself a great year."

He noted the number of companies confirmed to exhibit is also pacing ahead of the same time last year, approaching 300 confirmed exhibitors to date, including every one of the major studios. Twenty-seven of those exhibitors will be attending NATPE for the first time. The Market Floor is completely sold out, as are all of the suites in the Tresor Tower. A few remaining suites are available in the other towers of the Fontainebleau Resort.

Mr. Perth also revealed numerous additions to the conference lineup. Newcomers to the Storytellers That Shape Pop Culture track include Glen Mazzara, executive producer and showrunner of "The Walking Dead" (AMC); Mitch Hurwitz, executive producer, "Arrested Development" (Fox); Peter Casey, executive producer/ co-creator of "Frasier" and "Wings," and writer/producer of "Cheers"/"The Jeffersons" (NBC); Ben Silverman, founder and chairman, Electus; Charlie Corwin, CEO, Original Media and John Sykes, president, Clear Channel Entertainment Enterprises.

Herbert G. Kloiber, Chairman of Tele München Group, who was previously announced as a NATPE 2013 Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Award winner, will now also headline the Global Navigators track, participating in a "Coffee With..." session moderated by Anna Carugati of WorldScreen News. Other new additions to the International track include Emiliano Saccone, president, MundoFox; Christy Haubegger, agent, CAA; Paul Gilbert, SVP, international formats, CBS Studios International; Mike Beale, director of international formats, ITV Studios; Stephanie Hartog, EVP international formats, ALL3MEDIA International; John Pollak, president, Electus International; Eden Gaha, president, Shine America; Karoline Spodsberg, managing director, Banijay International; Victor Kong, chief digital officer, Cisneros Group; Maria Kyriacou, managing director, ITV Studios Global Entertainment; John Morayniss, CEO, Entertainment One Television; Matt Hanover, head of business development, TV Plus; and Antonio Barreto, CEO, DLA, Inc.

Newly announced guest speakers for the Game Changers track include Larry King, host, LARRY KING NOW, Hulu; Alex Carloss, Global Head of Entertainment Partnerships, YouTube; Howard Stein, head of entertainment strategy, Facebook; Kevin Beggs, President, Lionsgate Television Group; Chet Kanojia, Founder and CEO, Aereo; Tom Zappala, EVP, programming, SPIKE TV; Werner Brell, managing director, Red Bull Media House North America; Rob Barnett, founder/CEO, My Damn Channel; Brian Seth Hurst, CEO, The Opportunity Management Company; and Michael Kassan, chairman and CEO, MediaLink LLC.

The Masters of Messaging advertising track features a keynote presentation by Jonathan Mildenhall, VP, Global Advertising Strategy and Creative Excellence, Coca-Cola Company. Additional track speakers include Cathy Hetzel, corporate president, Rentrak; Lauren Radcliffe, director, branded entertainment sponsorships, Dr. Pepper / Snapple Group; Jared Hoffman, managing partner and president of branded entertainment, Generate/Alloy Digital; Laura Caraccioli, EVP, advertising, Electus; Robert Friedman, former president Radical Media & Co-Chairman, New Line Television; Doug Scott, president, Ogilvy Entertainment; Ellen Liu, director, media and consumer and shopper promotions, The Clorox Company; Andy Marks, general manager, MATTER; and Chad Bennett, founder and CEO, Populus Brands.

This diverse lineup of individuals from different media disciplines includes Michael Nyman, chairman and CEO, PMK*BNC, and Mark Ghuneim, CEO, Trendrr, among others.

Finally, Mr. Perth announced a series of special events that will take place each night to provide attendees with additional networking opportunities, as well as to celebrate NATPE's 50th Anniversary. Scheduled events include the following:

Sunday: Welcome Party - 6-8pm at the Eden Roc Hotel, sponsored by the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau and its partners

Monday: Opening Night Party - 6-8pm at the Fontainebleau pool, sponsored by DLA, Venevision and People Television, Inc.

Tuesday: NATPE's Official 50th Anniversary Birthday Party - 10pm at LIV nightclub at the Fontainebleau, and featuring Fitz and the Tantrums - recently named by Rolling Stone as a 2011 "Band to Watch," and dubbed "one of the hottest new bands" by KCRW Radio. Their first album reached No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart.
