Idaho Cineposium - A Regional Media Industry Conference

The Idaho Film Office of the Idaho Department of Commerce, in cooperation with Northwest Independent Film Video Entertainment Society and the Spokane Convention and Visitors Bureau, is holding a regional indie film conference May 18 - 19, 2012 at the Coeur d'Alene Inn in Coeur d'Alene.
"Sessions are being developed on a issues important to independent filmmakers in Idaho and the northwest - funding, legal protection, production management, social networking and distribution.", said Peg Owens, Idaho Film Office manager. "Plus, we'll screen a film and have a very special guest attending."
Indie leaders planning to be at the conference include: Jerome Courshon, creator of The Secrets of Distribution; Linda Nelson, partner in Nelson Madison Films, and a wide variety of professionals based in the inland northwest.

The Idaho Film Office is a Project 60 partner, a comprehensive initiative to grow Idaho's Gross Domestic Product. The media production industry in Idaho is valued at $41 million with a payroll of $16 million, according to the United States Bureau of Economic Analysis.
