Going Green goes Mainstream at Oscars 2016
Celebrities Wear Eco-friendly Garments and Discuss Climate Change at the Academy Awards Ceremony in Hollywood

Shadow Hills, CA - Since opening up their doors for business in 2010, Step and Repeat LA has grown to become the premiere provider of red carpet backdrops, or better known in the film industry as a step and repeat. From custom designed backdrops to red carpet and red velvet ropes, Step and Repeat LA serves as a one-stop shop for all special event needs.

In addition to providing a variety of signage products, Step and Repeat LA has also pushed to provide eco-friendly options to consumers in the wake of global climate change awareness. In fact, awareness seems to have gone mainstream in 2016, as A-list celebrities showed their support for planet Earth by wearing eco-friendly garments and accessories, even discussing the topic of global warming while billions of viewers watched.

Michael Fassbender, who portrayed Apple icon Steve Jobs in the Oscar-nominated biopic, wore a custom-designed suit by Tom Ford made of 100% sustainable material. Vanessa Hudgens wore a bespoke H&M Conscious Column dress that was made entirely of organic silk and wood fiber. Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez wore a dress made from Global Organic Textile-standard "peace silk", which is silk that is harvested only after the silk moth breaks out of its cocoon. The dress was then finished off with low-impact dyes to ensure a
red-carpet-ready appeal.

Step and Repeat LA offers an eco-friendly alternative to traditional vinyl or fabric. Made from 100% biodegradable components, these eco-friendly banners dissolve over time if left in a landfill. Step and Repeat LA also recently invested in a state-of-the-art HP Latex Printer, which can produce large-format prints in a fraction of the time when compared to other printers, and achieves 45% less material waste.

Step and Repeat LA is a one-stop shop for event planners, providing high-quality step and repeat backdrops and red carpets for many events around the U.S. A step and repeat is a backdrop display that has one or more sponsor logos repeated in a step or diagonal alternating pattern. It is used for photo opportunities. Step and Repeat LA offers free ground shipping and can ship within 24 hours of approval of artwork.
