Step And Repeat LA Created Nostalgic Backdrops For A New Film, "The Disaster Artist"

Two Step and Repeat Backdrops from Premieres Past were Recreated for a Film Directed by James Franco
Step and Repeat LA is Southern California's premiere design firm and fabrication studio that specializes in the production of red carpet backdrops, also known in the industry as a "step and repeat." The independently-owned company also serves as a one-stop shop for any special event, providing a variety of stands, colored carpets, and accessories like stanchions and velvet ropes.
For one of their latest projects, Step and Repeat LA was given the opportunity to recreate two backdrops from real-life premieres that took place over a decade ago: "Memento" and "The Brown Bunny". Both premieres are set to showcase in a new picture directed by James Franco called "The Disaster Artist", a film that takes a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Tommy Wiseau's 2003 film, "The Room". Both banners were printed onto 13 oz. vinyl and are being displayed using a pipe and drape system. Step and Repeat LA also provided the red carpet, gold stanchions and red velvet ropes to help bring this vision to life.
Ben Toth, a representative for Step and Repeat LA, had this to say, "Being a part of this project has been exciting in the sense that not only are we producing backdrops for a film premiere, but we are recreating the premieres for two very iconic cult films! It's like getting the chance to be a part of history all over again!"
