September marks the 10th Anniversary

By: Morgan Strong | March 8, 2011

This September marks the 10th Anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on America. Over the past 10 years, footage from Global ImageWorks' vast 9/11 archive has been featured in dozens of projects including the multiple Emmy Award winning 102 Minutes That Changed America, Emmy nominated National Geographic: Inside 9/11, and Michael Moore's award winning feature documentary Fahrenheit 9/11.

GIW is also exclusively licensing footage from The CameraPlanet Archive. The CameraPlanet Archive is considered the world's largest collection of video on the World Trade Center attacks and aftermath. It is housed at the National 9/11 Museum at the site of the World Trade Center, where access to the material is available for exhibits and historical review. The CameraPlanet Archive has been partnered with filmmakers and networks to provide critical historic material for films focused on 9/11 and the issues around it.

ABOUT GLOBAL IMAGEWORKS
"Top 40 Indy Film Friendly Businesses of 2007."
Having over 25 years experience as an internationally recognized stock footage professional, principal partner and President Jessica Berman-Bogdan launched Global ImageWorks (GIW) in 2003, leveraging her diverse skills and experience in the television and movie production community. She was confident that there was still a place for content buyers who wanted to deal with the boutique, personalized stock footage company that would provide not only stock shots but also footage with depth and perspective across a variety of high profile categories. GIW has uncovered rich, high quality footage sitting in the vaults of filmmakers, cinematographers, journalists, and production companies that provide unique views of the world we live in. GIW is a full service company providing stock footage library sales, research and rights management services. Although the GIW website features a user-friendly online database, the company prides itself on its personalized service and encourages clients to call and speak directly with the knowledgeable and friendly staff. There is no charge for research of their footage collections. Global ImageWorks is a charter and founding member of The Association of Commercial Stock Image Licensors ( ACSIL), member of FOCAL (Federation of Commercial Audio Visual Libraries), AMIA (Association of Moving Image Archivists), and IDA (International Documentary Association). Global ImageWorks footage has been licensed by: Martin Scorsese's "No Direction Home: Bob Dylan"; the DVD video "Elvis By The Presley's"; the CBS miniseries "Elvis"; National Geographic's "Inside 9/11"; History Channel's "The Man Who Predicted 9/11"; NBC's dramatic series "E-Ring"; the AMC series "Movies That Shook The World"; the BBC series "Soul Deep" as well as productions for Showtime, HBO, Arts & Entertainment Network, The History Channel, BET, Bravo, Discovery Networks, Starz; Time-Life Music, BBC, MTV Networks, PBS, WNET/Channel 13; Channel 4 (UK), Granada Television, NBC, CBS, Fox TV, National Geographic Television, Court TV, Animal Planet, Wieden & Kennedy, The Vibe Awards, The Grammy Awards, Comedy Central, The Superbowl, Reflections Interactive, and more!
