The new site boasts a slick interface that allows users to search for shooting space by using, among other factors: dimension, features such as Cyclorama walls, available power, whether it is soundproofed and even whether the stage allows them to bring in their own G&E.
The painstaking process of finding and listing the specifics of each individual stage has meant a slow build, but already there are over 300 spaces currently present on the site, primarily in the greater NY and LA areas. StageGuru.com founders expects the buildout of more domestic and international city listings to follow soon, especially as Stage Managers realize that they can create and manage their own stage listings for free. Currently, about 400 searches happen each month, and site developers see growing momentum.
