Interactive Thirty-Mile Zone Studio & Stage Chart
By: Creative Handbook | April 3, 2017

Creative Handbook unveils a one-of-a-kind, interactive studio and stage map of the studio zone, also known as the thirty-mile zone (TMZ). Use this map to see why Los Angeles is the filming capital of the world. Search the TMZ to quickly and easily locate studios and stages by name. Click on the pins to reveal important information about the locations like their phone number and a link to their website.

The TMZ is centered at the intersection of Beverly Boulevard and La Cienega Boulevard. This intersection was once the headquarters of the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). Founded as the Association of Motion Picture Producers (AMPP) in 1924, the AMPTP is the key trade association for major film and television producers that officially handles the entertainment industry's collective bargaining.
Presently, entertainment industry unions use the TMZ to determine per diem rates and rules. More than 90 cities and parts of three counties including Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura counties fall within the 30-Mile Studio Zone. Now you can use our interactive resource to determine the best location for your next production!
