Women In Film Partners With Venevision International
Women In Film, Los Angeles members will pitch ideas for Scripted and Non-Scripted programs with a Latin spin. Women In Film TV & Media, Los Angeles announced today an exclusive partnership with Venevision International, a global entertainment company of the Cisneros Group of Companies. WIF members will have the opportunity to pitch television proposals for both scripted and non-scripted programs to a panel of Venevision creative experts for evaluation as potential programming on the Venevision network or Pay-TV channels. The shows are to have a Latin spin, targeting today's woman, between 25-50 years of age. WIF TV & Media will start the application process in January, 2013. Please visit the WIF website for details: www.wif.org

As outlined by Chevonne O'Shaughnessy, WIF Foundation Trustee, Women In Film members will be encouraged to create and present concepts, formats and storylines to be evaluated for possible production projects by Venevision, a company with more than 50 years of experience in the industry, producing and distributing television programming to over 104 countries in more than 20 languages. If a proposal is selected, the creators consequently would be hired as members of the production crew and/or receive credit for their contribution.

Said Danica Krislovich, Chair of WIF TV & Media and WIF Board member: "We have been making great strides in providing exclusive opportunities for our members to make contacts and receive guidance and mentorship in TV and digital entertainment. Working with Venevision will allow members the potential to launch a television series in a vital market. We are all very excited for this significant and rare partnership."

"Venevision is one of the leading production companies in the industry today," said O'Shaughnessy. "It's rare to find an organization that equips individuals with a formula for making successful films. Whether it's social media, advertising or securing the proper writers and production team, we are excited for Venevision to share their expertise with Women In Film. It is a great opportunity for our members, and we are excited to see this partnership come to life."

"We are excited to collaborate with Women In Film on this project, which allows creativity and innovative ideas to flow without restriction, enabling and empowering women in the industry. This is a great opportunity for all of us," stated Adriana Cisneros de Griffin, Vice Chairman & Vice President of Strategy of the Cisneros Group of Companies.
