Studio Wings moves offices, flight operations and aircraft to the Santa Fe Airport

Studio Wings moves offices, flight operations and aircraft to the Santa Fe Airport
After flying on Hollywood based films and TV series for over two and a half decades, Studio Wings recently moved their offices, flight operations and aircraft to the Santa Fe Airport to become the only approved New Mexico Vendor, providing aerial production assets to the entire New Mexico film community. We are now able to offer numerous aerial assets to all of New Mexico and Texas without the high cost to ferry them back and forth from Hollywood.

We are currently working on the new Vince Gilligan untitled Apple+ TV project. Our past New Mexico credits include Stranger Things, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, El Camino, The Cleaning Lady, Obliterated, Outer Range, The Brave and The Dragon's Egg. We still fly and coordinate several L.A. based shows when needed, including The Rookie, The FBI, CSI: Las Vegas, L.A. 9-1-1 and Lone Star 9-1-1. We are approved by the Risk Management Departments of Netflix, Amazon and Apple Films, as well all the major LA based Studios.

We have several unique helicopters based at the Santa Fe Airport, including a matte black, Bell 212 Super Eagle, Special Operations ship, which has flown on camera as an FBI, CIA, MARINE, ARMY, Police and Black Ops helicopter. Unlike the majority of military helicopters that fly on films under a Restricted Waiver, our Bell 212 Super Eagle is a newer, Civilian, Transport Category aircraft. We also have a new, matte black, AirBus H-125 (AS350B3e) as well a new Citation CJ4, nine passenger jet aircraft. All our aircraft carry $20 Million in Liability Insurance. We offer an FAA Approved Fast Rope System, as well as numerous state of the art integral flight safety systems. We can easily acquire any other type of plane, jet or helicopter based on your script requirements.

Our website, https://www.studiowings.com, will give you an idea of the full line of local aerial production services we provide, full credits and producer recommendations. Our REELS page contains a number of aerial action video clips. For Drone Work we fly with our outstanding New Mexico based drone partner, https://professionaldroneservices.com

Below is an endorsement from our good friend, Vince Gilligan.

Steve is like Howling Mad Murdock from "The A-Team." Anything that flies, he can fly it. Little airplanes, big airplanes, multi-engine jets, helicopters, you name it. And before he was an aerial coordinator, he was a cinematographer, director and actor.

I don't think the International Press Academy could have picked a more deserving recipient for this inaugural stunt award. Steve makes a very difficult, very consequential job look easy...but that's because of the endless hours of attention, effort and training he puts into it. He's a pilot's pilot, an educator and a strong advocate for stunt performers everywhere. For Steve, safety and professionalism are not buzz words, they are ideals he strives for tirelessly.

- Vince Gilligan, Writer-Producer-Director, Breaking Bad, El Camino
