RCS Hitting Final High Note at House of Hype 2011 Video Music Awards Party
By: Kristin Reichardt | September 8, 2011
Lush, faux hedges bordering the garden terrace created an intimate, high-energy space for the House of Hype 2011 post-ceremony Video Music Awards celebration Aug. 28 at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills.
The toast of the music industry sipped champagne and toasted another year in music television, unaware that just 48 hours before the sexy soiree space was little more than another beautiful outdoor area attached to the sprawling, gorgeous Los Angeles hotel before L.A.-based Red Carpet Systems transformed it into an elegant party space fit for pop culture royalty.
Video of the Year winner Katy Perry and hubby Russell Brand snuggled at a table beneath the romantic lighting designed by Red Carpet Systems, after walking the red carpet in front of a media wall emblazoned with logos from sponsors House of Hype, Nissan and Esquire Magazine. Britney Spears and boyfriend Jason Trawick celebrated her Best Pop Video win, while Chord Overstreet and Emma Roberts - acting adorable and young in love - partied with Overstreet's fellow "Glee" stars Mark Salling and Max Adler.
Inside one of the hotel's ballrooms, smoky black and blazing white lounge furniture set off the lit cube-cocktail tables. The clean lines, DJ booth showcasing House of Hype and pristine bar showcased liquor sponsor Ciroc, while flat screen TVs spread around the room's perimeter looped DVD footage and helped to set the chic-club vibe.
"This is the second year we have the honor of collaborating with House of Hype to celebrate the VMAs," Red Carpet Systems Director Florent Sourice said. "The challenge of working with such a large space, spread out throughout the hotel, gave us a chance to showcase our creativity. We took great care to create special unique touches that help create a cohesive feel throughout the various rooms and create a fun, fresh, elegant atmosphere - like building short walls to facilitate mingling in the club area and make the lounge set up more comfortable.
Any small details, especially when it comes to lighting and graphics, help to highlight the personality and purpose of the event," Sourice added. "It's our job to help make the event's personality shine!"
Since its establishment in 2005, Red Carpet Systems has worked with the highest-end public relations agencies, event planners and promoters across the country to produce events in L.A. and Las Vegas' best public and private venues.
Offering comprehensive, affordable production packages has put Red Carpet Systems in a class all its own. Their services include custom step and repeat media walls, event carpet, velvet ropes, trusses and lighting, banner display, easel board, barricades, tents, gobos, searchlights, photography, pro video, stages, runways, check in stations, and a crew that arrives early and stays late to set everything up and take everything down.
In addition to working with House of Hype, Red Carpet Systems counts Interscope Records and the BET Network, Absolut Vodka, Universal, Warner Brothers, E!, House of Blues, Dolce & Gabbana, Ferrari and MTV among its growing list of prestigious clients.
