Group 3 Aviation Inc. Opens Satellite Flight Training Facility in Alaska

Group 3 Aviation Inc. today announced the grand opening of its new satellite helicopter flight training and commercial helicopter service facilities in Anchorage, Alaska. Group 3 Aviation is an FAA Approved Part 141 flight training facility and Part 135 charter service with main headquarters at the Van Nuys Airport (VNY) with Part 133 External load certification pending.
Group 3 Aviation Alaska is currently the only FAA Approved Part 141 helicopter flight training facility in Anchorage. In addition to Schweizer 300 CBi, Robinson R22 and R44helicopter training, the new facility will offer local aerial photo and film services working closely with its production partner INDIE AERIALS LLC Additional services will be launched such as financing and GI education benefits and Part 135 services once Part 135 Air Carrier certification is obtained for the satellite facilities. FAA certification is already in progress.
"We're thrilled to open our new facilities and meet growing demands for our popular flight training and commercial aerial services," explains Claudia Herrera, Vice President of Group 3 Aviation. "The new facilities will provide the same expertise and dedication our customers have grown to expect, whether attending as a leisure pursuit or for professional career preparation."
The customer-centric business has earned a global reputation for excellence since its inception in 1993, with students trained throughout the United States and as far away as South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Research and exploration for its new location have been underway for more than a decade, with site selection finalized in June of 2010.
