As we roll around to a new year, Nelson Creative Spaces LLC (located in North Hollywood, CA) will be doing business with our new name, The White Owl Studio, and we're looking forward to meeting new clients, too! Our soundproofed 1700 sq ft photography studio works as a film location. Elephant doors (12'x12') on the ground level make the load in easy. Additionally, we have a make-up room, lobby, spare room, and parking.



Why the name change? We were looking for something fun and easier to remember when a story came to mind. While working on the Additional Photography Unit for "Star Trek Beyond", Robert (who manages The White Owl Studio with his wife Gina) was in a condor crane doing a lighting effect. Between takes and pointing to the condor basket in the dark where all you could see was a face and a long white beard,
one of the VFX guys pulled the Key Grip aside to say, "He looks like a white owl up there!". Naturally, that became somewhat of a moniker with the crew. It seemed like the perfect name for our studio, so we adopted it.
