The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today that Hawk Koch rejoins Mark Gordon as President of the PGA after a leave to serve a one-year term as President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Gordon and Koch were first elected Presidents of the PGA in 2010, and were reelected in 2012.

"In the year that lies ahead, we look forward to building on the momentum of that and other successes, such as the recent Produced By Conference, once again as Presidents of this great Guild."

The PGA recently announced that all six major studios have signed on to implement the Producers Mark certification, indicated by the letters "p.g.a." following a motion picture's "Produced By" credit. The Producers Mark is the result of a long campaign led by Gordon and Koch to develop and launch a vetting process that clearly certifies who did the majority of the producing work on a film while also establishing an authentic seal of approval.

A longtime PGA National Board member, Hawk Koch has worked in the entertainment industry for more than four decades. His credits include more than 60 films including the Golden Globe Award®-winning Heaven Can Wait, Wayne's World, Primal Fear, Gorky Park, The Idol Maker, Pope of Greenwich Village, Keeping the Faith, Fracture, Frequency, and most recently, Source Code. Aside from producing, Koch also served as the president of Rastar Productions, Inc., where he oversaw films such as Peggy Sue Got Married, Nothing in Common, The Secret of My Success, and Amazing Grace and Chuck, among others. In addition to his recent service as Academy President (and before that, First Vice President) Koch also serves on the Board of Directors of the Motion Picture and Television Fund.

Mark Gordon is an award-winning producer with more than 75 motion picture and television projects to his credit. In television, Gordon currently serves as an executive producer on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," CBS' "Criminal Minds," Lifetime's "Army Wives," and Showtime's "Ray Donovan." He is a five-time Emmy nominee and two-time winner. He also won a Golden Globe for his work on "Grey's Anatomy." His other television credits include "Private Practice" and "Reaper." He is one of television's most prolific producers. Gordon's motion picture credits include Saving Private Ryan (earning him Academy Award and BAFTA nominations and a Golden Globe win for Best Picture), 2012, The Day After Tomorrow, Speed, Source Code, The Messenger and The Patriot. As executive producer and financier, Gordon's credits include Tomb Raider, Wonder Boys, The Painted Veil, Simple Plan and Primary Colors to name a few. As the President of the Producers Guild of America, Gordon spearheaded the establishment of the Producers Mark. He serves on the boards of The Archer School for Girls, Virginia Film Festival, Chrysalis and The Motion Picture and Television Fund. He is the former chairman of Teach for America Los Angeles, a former board member of The UCLA Lab School and the founder of Citizens of the World Charter Schools. Gordon is a graduate of NYU Film School.

The Guild has had dual Presidents in the past. From 2001 - 2002, following the PGA's merger with the American Association of Producers, the Guild was overseen by Kathleen Kennedy and Tim Gibbons as Co-Presidents. Gordon and Koch represent the first duo to be elected by the PGA membership.
