By: Leonard Morpurgo | January 15, 2013

Guild Still Photographers to Exhibit at Photo LA
Still photographers of the International Cinematographers Guild (IATSE Local 600) have for the first time been invited to participate in Photo LA, the 20-year-old exhibition of photo art to be held at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium from January 17 to 21. The work of many of the leading photographers in the motion picture and television industry can be seen by the 10,000 people expected to visit the Guild booth, S-108. A number of them will be at the booth to answer fan questions.

Iconic photos from movies such as The Amazing Spider-Man, Fatal Attraction, Skyfall, Live Free or Die Hard, We Need to Talk About Kevin and TV programs including Dancing with the Stars and Happy Endings will be on display.

Among the photographs on display are:

2: Dancing with the Stars. Photo by Adam Taylor. Courtesy of Disney/ABC Television Group.

About the International Cinematographers Guild
The International Cinematographers Guild (IATSE Local 600) represents more than 7,000 members who work in film, television and commercials as Directors of Photography, Camera Operators, Visual Effects Supervisors, Still Photographers, Camera Assistants, Film Loaders, Publicists and all members of camera crews. The first cinematographers union was established in New York in 1926, followed by unions in Los Angeles and Chicago, but it wasn't until 1996 that Local 600 was born as a national guild. ICG's ongoing activities include the Emerging Cinematographer Awards and the Publicists Awards Luncheon. The Guild also publishes the award-winning ICG Magazine. www.cameraguild.com.
