MediaCon Expo Set To Bring Thousands of Latino Entertainment Fans Together for Celebrity Fanfare, Musical Performances and Media Launches!
PASADENA (July 12, 2012) - The National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) will convene media giants Univision, Nielsen, Comcast, NBC, Telemundo, CBS, Walt Disney Studios, NuvoTV, ESPN, Disney Television Group, ESPN Deportes, FOX Deportes, PR Newswire and Pantelion Films at the inaugural Latino MediaCon & Expo July 20-21, at the Pasadena Convention Center. Additional sponsors include Warner Bros The Campaign, Open Road Films End of Watch, Focus Features Paranorman, Dr. Seuss' The Lorax and General Motors. LatinPointe and NHMC are the event producers.
More than 350 media advocates and influencers, industry executives and celebrity talent will gather on Friday July 20, to network, discuss trends and gain insight on emerging issues. Worldwide pioneer and entertainment industry leader Haim Saban, Chairman and CEO of the Saban Capital Group will serve as the keynote speaker at the Friday luncheon. NHMC Local Impact Awards will be presented at the luncheon.
MediaCon has assembled a stellar line-up of media experts covering all facets of the media industry from TV programming, filmmaking, social media to talent management, and sports programming.

Through the "free" showcase and fan fair expo fans will have the opportunity to meet their favorite celebrity entertainers, music stars and athletes including: Cierra Ramirez from ABC Family's hit Secret Life of the American Teenager, novela stars Rafael Amaya and Eduardo Yañez, UFW former champion Diego "the Dream" Sanchez, music superstar A.B. Quintanilla and ESPN Deportes sports anchor Adriana Monsalve. Comedians Alex Reymundo and Shayla Rivera will also make appearances at MediaCon. Two stages will bring entertainment from Trio Ellas and renowned Conguero Louie Cruz Beltran, as well as an appearance from NuvoTV's hit reality show Models of Latinas of South Beach. Kids will have an opportunity to meet Norman and his zombie friends from the new 3D stop-motion comedy thriller Paranorman and the Lorax from the upcoming Dr. Seuss' The Lorax movie.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet their favorite LA radio personalities as the biggest names in radio autograph sessions including Art Laboe, Syndicated DJ, Big Boy from Power 106, Chiquibaby, TV and radio celebrity, Raquel Cordova "Raq-C" from Latino 96.3, Univision radio talk show hosts Fernando Espuelas and Dr. Isabel Gomez-Bassols or "Doctora Isabel"
