ICG Magazine Receives Four Maggie Awards

ICG Magazine Receives Four Maggie Awards
ICG Magazine, published by the International Cinematographers Guild (IATSE Local 600), has won four Maggie Awards and was nominated for seven, it was announced today.


The awards came in the following categories:

Best Web or Digital Edition Article/Trade: My Best Friend the Camera: A Tribute to Sidney Lumet featured on www.icgmagazine.com by staff writer Pauline Rogers.

Special Interest/Trade: Directed to a specific audience in a trade market.

Best Overall Publication Design/Trade: This category is judged on a specific issue-the December 2011. The award was given based on the issue's overall design.

Best Overall Publication Trade: This category is judged on best overall use of editorial, graphics, navigation, functionality and design of entire publication. This award was also given to ICG for the work of the December 2011 issue.

Teresa Munoz is associate publisher of ICG Magazine, David Geffner is executive editor and Wes Driver is the art director.

The Western Publishing Association is a non-profit business trade association dedicated to the advancement of the media publishing industry in the western United States.

About the International Cinematographers Guild:

The International Cinematographers Guild (IATSE Local 600) represents approximately 6,900 members who work in film, television and commercials as Directors of Photography, Camera Operators, Visual Effects Supervisors, Still Photographers, Publicists and all members of camera crews. The first cinematographers union was established in New York in 1926, followed by unions in Los Angeles and Chicago, but it wasn't until 1996 that Local 600 was born as a national guild. ICG's ongoing activities include the Emerging Cinematographer Awards and the Publicists Awards Luncheon. The Guild also publishes ICG magazine and the Camera Angles newsletter. www.cameraguild.com
