Air Hollywood Adds ARC Aerospace to Fleet
By: Air Hollywood | March 13, 2013
Air Hollywood and ARC Aerospace Industries announce a strategic joint venture that will give filmmakers access to a vast fleet of commercial, private, and specialty aircraft for use in their films, television shows, and commercials.
Air Hollywood, the world's largest aviation-themed film studio, now has the exclusive right to promote, rent, and manage ARC Aerospace's fleet of more than one hundred aircraft including Boeing, Lockheed and Airbus to the motion picture production industry. The announcement today by CEO and founder of Air Hollywood, Talaat Captan, and ARC Aerospace principals Janet Vincent and David Green, marks an important milestone in the respective businesses. With exclusive access to ARC's aircraft feet, Air Hollywood gains another competitive edge to compliment its existing aviation]themed services such as airplane mock]up rentals, props, set design & fabrication, and stock footage.
Captan is hopeful that this venture will be a giant leap for the entertainment industry, "This new
venture means that Air Hollywood will now be able to provide endless inventory of different aircraft
to the entertainment industry. No matter how big or how small the aircraft, we can do it. It is now
even possible for us to do crash scenes."
Founded by Captan in 1998, Air Hollywood quickly became Hollywood's premiere provider for this
specialty service. Recent examples of Air Hollywood's work can be seen in films such as
Bridesmaids, 7500, Moneyball, The Wolf of Wall Street, and the recent box office darling, Warm Bodies. Air Hollywood credits also include popular television shows such as "The Newsroom," "NCIS:LA," "Body of Proof" and "Grey's Anatomy" to name a few.
For ARC Aerospace, a leader in the Aircraft Recycling Industry, this partnership signifies a foray into a new industry altogether- motion picture services. Vincent states, "We are thrilled to be in the entertainment industry, but more importantly from a business perspective, this deal makes sense and will add new revenue to our books that would otherwise not exist."
