ABELCINE AND VISION RESEARCH ANNOUNCE
THE "MIRO HIGH-SPEED INSPIRATION CHALLENGE"

Image-Makers Called to Submit Proposals For Projects Shot with Phantom Miro M320S Camera

New York, NY - July 18, 2012 - AbelCine and Vision Research announced today the start of the "Miro High-Speed Inspiration Challenge." This contest was created so that image-makers from a broad range of disciplines would have the opportunity to work with the Phantom Miro M320S, a camera capable of super-slow motion cinematography.

Four finalists will be granted training and use of a complete Miro M320S package for one week to shoot their projects. One Grand Prize winner, announced at the end of the challenge, will receive a Miro M320S camera package, courtesy of Vision Research and AbelCine.

The Phantom Miro M320S is the latest groundbreaking high-speed camera from Vision Research and the most accessible professional high-speed camera available. The camera offers full HD ultrahigh-speed up to 1540 frames per second, excellent low-light performance, a small form factor, and lightweight camera body at an affordable price point.

Challenge applicants are asked to consider the unique qualities of the camera in creating their projects. Proposals should be inspired by the Miro's ability to capture super-slow motion images that would not have been possible otherwise, or only at great expense, or with a large crew. Applications will be judged by their originality, creativity and relevance to the technology.

"We are looking for high-speed imagery we haven't previously seen," said Rick Robinson, VP of Marketing for Vision Research. "Miro democratizes professional highspeed image capture like never before. This challenge will provide the creative community with even greater access to the technology, and we are excited to see innovative applications from some new voices."

"AbelCine has a tradition of nurturing new image-makers. We are pleased to participate in this contest, which supports our efforts to bring new technology to the industry and educate the community on it," said Moe Shore, Director of Business Development at AbelCine and Phantom Product Manager.

A dedicated portal will be created to follow the progress of the four finalists as they produce their Miro projects. It will feature behind-the-scenes news, interviews and clips from the projects. When the final projects are submitted, the judges will select one Grand Prize Winner to receive the Miro camera. Additional prizes, consisting of AbelCine rental certificates with a combined value of over $10,000 also will be awarded. All four projects will be screened at a high-profile industry event, to be announced at a later date.

Anyone interested in participating in the Miro High-Speed Inspiration Challenge should visit www.abelcine.com/r/miro-challenge for complete application instructions and contest rules. Submissions must be received by September 16, 2012, and the four finalists will be announced on October 9th.
