FUJIFILM REUNITES WITH HOLLYWOOD FILM COMPANY TO DISTRIBUTE NEGATIVE MOTION PICTURE FILM

By: Diane Rainey | February 29,2012

FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Motion Picture Division and Hollywood Film Company (HFC) are pleased to announce that the two companies have again joined forces. When Fujifilm's Motion Picture products were first introduced into the North American film market in 1967, HFC became Fujifilm's exclusive distributor. Today, HFC and Fujifilm have rekindled this relationship, offering distribution of Fujifilm's negative motion picture products.

"HFC has many years of expertise in the lab and production world. They understand the challenging dynamics of servicing the camera negative film business," said Alan Fraser, vice president, FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Motion Picture Division. "Great quality and outstanding service are always a winning combination, and we look forward to working together with them."

The renewed agreement between Fujifilm and HFC reaffirms Fujifilm's commitment to the negative film business, and that film is still a very vital part of the industry - even in the technologically advanced world of cinematography. Celluloid usage continues to be recognized as a viable medium for capture, release and archiving due to the vast array of benefits it offers to filmmakers.

"Fujifilm offers a wide selection of quality products, and enjoys a reputation for manufacturing superb film for today's filmmaker," said Vince Carabello, Jr., vice president, Hollywood Film Company. "We are proud to once again provide premium Fujifilm negative stocks to our broad customer base."
