Mob Scene Names Brett Abbey as CFO
Los Angeles, CA - Mob Scene, one of Hollywood's leading entertainment marketing agencies for major motion picture studios, television networks, and production companies, has named Brett Abbey as its new CFO. The announcement was made today by Thomas Grane, CEO, Mob Scene.

Abbey comes to Mob Scene from entertainment marketing agency mOcean, where he was the CFO for the past five years. There, he was instrumental in setting up processes for analytics and data-driven teams in a highly creative business setting. By collaborating with mOcean's creative teams, he was able to achieve greater efficiencies on award winning marketing campaigns by creating new metrics and KPIs.

Regarding today's announcement, Grane said, "Brett is truly a great addition to our expanding company as we continue to evolve into new businesses. Brett has that rare duality - he has a great background in big company discipline and structure, and also gets along really well with creative thinkers and entrepreneurs. We welcome him to Mob Scene."

Adds Abbey, "I am very excited to join the Mob Scene team and look forward to the challenges of a different POV on the entertainment industry. This new position allows me to bring my years of experience from leadership roles I've previously held in similar creative business settings. The entrepreneurial feel of Mob Scene and its equity investors has inspired me to take the lead on providing the financial vision and strategies necessary during this exciting evolution of the company."

ABOUT BRETT ABBEY

Brett Abbey held the title of CFO at mOcean, an entertainment marketing agency, from 2013 to 2018. His career has developed over the past 17 years, holding various positions across a diverse blend of large Fortune 100 companies that included The Walt Disney Company (as Manager, International Strategy & Planning, 2012-13,) Warner Bros., and AIG. He has also worked in-house with entrepreneurial
ventures such as Trailer Park.

Bringing large company financial discipline and techniques to the creative agency world has enabled Abbey to shed new light on the driving forces of these various businesses. He focuses on installing new processes, systems, and analytics, while creating data-driven teams and organizations.

Abbey holds a BS in Finance from Saint Joseph's University and an MBA from USC's Marshall School of Business. He was recently recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as a CFO of the Year nominee, and is a member of the CFO Leadership Council's Los Angeles chapter steering committee.
