Riverside County Film & TV Office is excited to be a prominent sponsor of the 13th Annual Riverside International Film Festival scheduled for April 3-12th, 2015 at the Box Theater in downtown Riverside. Building on the growing popularity of the Riverside International Film Festival (RIFF), the Riverside County Film & TV Office will capitalize on its relationships in the Film & Entertainment Industries to bring even more allure to this year's festival by incorporating events and musical performances in support of key themed films that will be showcased at the festival.
The County of Riverside announced its support of film production in the County when the Board of Supervisors implemented a film ordinance that waives fees and lends the support of the County®s Film & Television Office as concierge to film makers from around the globe. ®How exciting that in light of the recent County ordinance and the state tax benefits to film makers, the County is taking a stand to nurture a growing film community in our County® remarked Harki Dhillon, President of RIFF.
The 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award in Film & Television will go to legendary actor, writer & director Joe Mantegna-star of the hit TV series Criminal Minds. Mantegna will receive the award at the Film Festival Gala on April 4th. Marion Ashley, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors said ® We are delighted to be a major sponsor of the 13th Annual Film Festival. This event has the potential to elevate our global name and destination recognition and is a great opportunity to enjoy new films before release to the public. We also wish to congratulate our longtime friend Joe Mantegna for his Lifetime Achievement Award."
In addition to relationships in Hollywood, Riverside County Film & Television Office is exploring opportunities with other industry players who will take part in making the event one to be remembered. Long time Riverside County manufacturer Fender Guitars, the world®s most recognizable brand of musical instruments, in conjunction with Fender Music Foundation will be working in support of the Festival.
