Lumber is wood made ready for use as structural material for construction, wood pulp, or paper production. Plywood is a manufactured wood made from thin sheets of wood veneer that are glued together, having their grain at right angles to each other for greater strength. Both lumber and plywood are used in set construction. Wood, plaster or plastic moldings are used to cover transitions between surfaces or to add decoration.
