Color correction is used in filming to create props, prototypes and mock-ups of "hero products" (commercial packaged products with which people are familiar). Oftentimes, colors need to be enhanced to "pop" on the screen when used in a location shoot or on set. This process also refers to any type of color touch-ups that need to be applied to other props or fixtures on set.
