Dyeing, Ageing & Fabric Modification

DYEING (AGEING & FABRIC MODIFICATION)

Dyeing is a chemical process that involves changing the color of a fabric for the simple purpose of a desired hue, or to age the garment to match a historical era or mark the passage of time. Additional modifications can be made by fabric painting, silk-screening, tie-dyeing, marbleizing, and airbrushing fabrics from silks and wools (including backdrops) to leather, hair, wigs, laces, etc. These specialists also age, distress, and do breakdowns on costumes, jeans, shoes, hats and all of the above.
