Animation is the rapid display of a sequence of images in order to create an illusion of movement. This can be done with 2D or 3D artwork, most often generating animated images by using computer graphics. Computer animation can also be produced using motion capture techniques. Animation actually gives life to inanimate objects, including animatronics, puppets, cartoon characters, etc.
